Welcome to South Church of the Nazarene!
We are committed to helping every person get connected with God, each other and the world.  Our hope and desire is that you will encounter Jesus and begin to follow Him in your own personal journey and calling.

  • travis myers, LEAD pastor

Travis Myers grew up in a Nazarene evangelist’s home and came to know Jesus at a young age. His passion to follow Christ and serve the church has been his heart’s desire for as long as he can remember. After graduating from Olivet Nazarene University in 2000, together with his wife, Jesi, Travis served in the church as lay leaders.  During their volunteer service, they received a call to full-time ministry. The Lord prompted Travis to resign from his job as a full-time police officer and trust God’s plan for his family.  It was at this time that the Lord led him to SouthNaz where he served as the Youth Pastor for eight years and became an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene.  As the Lead Pastor of SouthNaz, Travis’ heart’s desire is to see people love the Lord with all they’ve got, serve and love others, and reach the lost in their community.  He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Pastoral Leadership from Olivet Nazarene University.  In his free time, he enjoys camping, boating, riding his dirt bike, being outdoors, and most of all, spending time with his family.

Jesi’s love for Jesus and seeing others grow in their relationship with Him and knowledge of His Word is what drives her in her role as associate pastor.  She has ministered to youth for over 20 years and continues to do that alongside her other roles at the church.  Jesi is a graduate of Grand Valley State University and has a degree in Secondary Education.  She will soon complete her ordination requirements through Nazarene Bible College.  Jesi’s primary job has been raising and homeschooling her and Travis’ children.  Other than spending time with her family, Jesi enjoys playing her guitar, traveling, boating, and being outdoors.
